Meet Meghan, a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric, Hospice, and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of experience. Meghan’s journey in healthcare began with a deep-rooted passion for providing quality care to those in need, especially the elderly and medically complex patients.

Meghan earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Washington, and she is a board-certified Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. Her extensive career includes pivotal roles at Providence Hospice of Seattle, Swedish Medical Center, and Virginia Mason Medical Center. At Providence Hospice, Meghan was known for her gentle approach during recertification visits and her expertise in managing symptoms of patients with dementia and COPD. She also played a crucial role in mentoring interdisciplinary teams, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

At Swedish Medical Center, Meghan provided specialist-level consultations, managed complex pain and symptoms, and guided patients and their families through advanced care planning. Her commitment to education is evident in her role as a preceptor and mentor, where she has shaped the careers of many future healthcare professionals.

Meghan is also an accomplished speaker, having presented on topics such as treating nausea and vomiting, geriatric eye concerns, and ALS care. Her presentations at professional symposiums and grand rounds have been well-received, reflecting her dedication to continuous learning and sharing knowledge.
